This weekend will be Labor Day Weekend. This Summer went by sooooo fast. I cannot believe it.

I am still on my diet, so I didn’t want to go anywhere crazy because that would just be too tempting.

So to keep my true to my total  ’renewing’  phase that I happen to be in … I decided that I’d do something that I normally wouldn’t do … listen to what my best friend wants to do …   just kidding … well not really.

Sarah is into electronic music and there happens to be a two day festival/ party here in NYC called ‘ Electric Zoo ‘. So that’s what we’ll be up to this weekend. It’ll be kinda of weird because I am not drinking, but I guess there are always other options …

Anyway, I am excited, it’ll be nice weather, some of my Dutch friends / DJ’s will be there and it’ll be officially the last days to wear whites [and get dirty]  this Summer.  After this weekend, Summer 2010 will be over and done with. Time for a new chapter !

Sooooo three and a half hr later we finished the race … we were exhausted and went for some food at Ocean Grill and it was delicious ! Now I just want to stay home and watch tv … in bed. By myself … with  ice cream, cookies and apple pies … sh*t I forgot … I can’t have that…

A while ago, my friend Steve from STOKED sent me a message asking me if I wanted to be in the screening panel for the Snow Film Fest, NYC . First thing that popped up in my head was ‘hell yeah !’ . Then a couple of other questions popped up … such as  … ‘what exactly does it entail to be in the screening panel’ and of course ‘ huh? snow film festival ?? I had no idea NYC had such a festival ..’

Here’s some more info on the event … it’s gonna be sick. The perfect kick off to the season.

SNOW FILM FEST, NYC’s mission is to showcase the diversity of the snow lifestyle by bringing the varied perspectives of snow to a wide audience. We will celebrate snow as the powerful silent element that stirs massive excitement in all ages. As enthusiasts find different ways to interact with snow, it’s important to explore both the range and the common threads that connects us all to the snow lifestyle. The SFFNYC aims to bring together the greater community to get stoked, create, inspire, motivate, reflect, and most importantly, live life in the snow.

The other day I met up with the woman who is designing/ creating my posing suit. She seems really cool and I am excited to see how this is all gonna come together. I met up with her around Bryant Park and afterward Sarah came by and we we went to this rooftop party my friend Eddie was co-hosting.  We didnt stay too long because we were on a mission to find stripper shoes. I thought it would be fun to go to 8th Ave.

Sarah had never been to a sex shop before, so needless to say… she was shocked. I happen to have been in the same shops a more than just a couple of times years ago with my ex and I couldnt help but smile and even crack up laughing when I think back to those days / nights. We used to be up till early hours … and sleep half the day away. That was years ago. I changed / became boring and my priorities in life changed.

So yeah, back to the sex shops/peep shows … Lots of toys , outfits for both men and women , viewing boots,  live girls up stairs … and … of course … dvd’s . So we are kinda looking flicking through them and I stopped at the ‘torture’ section and by torture I don’t mean some bondage or nipple clamps … by torture I mean pain, fear and disrespect.  And ‘YEAH I KNOW NOT EVERYTHING IS REAL’  but uhm, it’s kind of f*cked up that there are guys out there that get off on someone being in pain, scared and crying. I mean seriously … think about it … I just hope I will not run in to someone who gets turned on by seeing me cry, curled up, in pain and scared for my life.

*sigh*

The good news was that my ‘wife’ was gonna tag along as well! Whoohoo! It’s always fun when she comes out with us. Trouble… but fun.

So the party was great, lots of drinks and snowboard talk… gettin’ amped for season. Then the wife got the good news: some Navy Seals would come as well. She ♥ men in uniform [so if happen to be or know a fire fighter, ups delivery man , navy seal, police man... please drop me a line! I am taking applications]

Comes 3 o’clock, we are totally  drunk ready to go home, so we are looking for a taxi. In the Meatpacking District… on a Saturday night… that was tough. Nevertheless, we were successful in securing a ride and then all of a sudden this [good looking] guy asks us where were going… he had to go to LIC and thats where we had to go as well, so we decided to share the cab [ = it's recession time... remember!]. Anyway, the guy jumps in the middle, big smile on his face and starts whispering to the wife. She’s giggling and I was kind of wondering what was being said that could be so funny… All of a sudden she starts to scream, or kind of like eeeeuw! Put that back, that is disgusting followed by a GET OUT… get out now. The dude is like no I want her to see it… so I look to the right and he’s showing his ‘little friend’. I was not impressed. It was a sad show.

We kicked him out of the car and forgot all about the sharing part, so he didn’t have to pay his half of the taxi ride. I guess that was a super creative alternative to the ‘oops I forgot my wallet’ excuse…

It will be a busy Sunday, maybe I will wear my glasses, so maybe people might think I am a bit smarter than I really am…

Saturday night my buddie Brian B is hosting a FALL Rooftop Soiree, so lets pray for some good weather…

Came Friday, I had tickets to go see Santi White [SantoGold] play @ the Fillmore in NYC and Trevor Andrew aka Trouble opened. Of course S. was coming with. I love her! She is just so much fun, never a dull moment! For some reason I didn’t care what I’d looked like / wore that night, I just wanted… no make that NEEDED a drink after putting up with the folks for two days. So drinks there were… quite a few.

Long story short:

The show was wicked. The drinks were good. I smoked way too many cigarettes. We ended up @ Santo’s Party House and I had a huge make out sesh [m.o.s.]. I went home and my face was kind of sore. I felt like a teenager and S. said that I looked ‘cute’ [aka stupid] ! Ha! She’s such a good friend hehe

It was a fun night. Should def. consider doing that more often.
