I think I may haven gotten ditched this weekend. Which was kind of odd… cuz I normally pull one of those….

I guess I am getting old ha!

Anyway, move on to the next subject:

I have a dutch refugee in my house! haha! Just kidding, well sort of… his name is M. and he got relocated to NYC [from Amsterdam] for his work and he needed a place to crash while looking for a place to live. Anything for a fellow Dutchie. Had to fabricate a story for the roommate and family though. Ha! I love Twitter.

For anyone who doesn’t really know me by now. I am really quite nice and would never hurt someone on purpose. I am also from a socialist country and accordingly to one of my friends that’s accountable for one of my weaknesses. The one of being nice and having a conscience.

Here’s the dilemma:

So we have been working on ‘Project Powder’ since Summer. It’s a social networking site for snowboarders… ha! yeah another one! Seriously, we are implementing a bunch of new features on it that all the other ones don’t have, making it more 2008 vs 1998.

So yeah, there is not one site like ours… well that’s what I though until I got see this new site. It was like someone took our blue print/ business plan! Ha! I couldn’t believe it. It sucks because they launched before us and it kind of makes us feel like copy cats, but we are really not, we just had the same [brilliant if I may say so myself] vision, thank God I started the blog in Summer so you can see we’ve been around for a while ha!

Anyway, I haven’t mentioned to JP  about our site, but I want to because I just don’t see why I shouldn’t be able to mention that. It makes me feel kind of dirty for not telling so I decided to just do it, even though my friends told me that there is no reason for it. I don’t know, I just know that it would make me feel better…don’t know why it has been bothering me so much ha!

Oh, and my gfriend Espree from ZEXsports.com is coming by next week! Whoohoo! we are attending SMX -NorthEast and it’ll be fun! It’s always exciting to go with her because we sneak in and stuff…

NYs first [on snow] rail jam of the season :

I am so stoked – happy – proud- excited! My friend HACK [ we were hanging out a bunch last year, strictly platonic though... never ever happened ] from Tannersville is opening his own bar called THE BOARDING HOUSE and the first SNOWBOARDERS HOTEL out East!

Last Winter, while making turns @ Hunter Mountain, we talked about our passions, taking chances and lots of other things. He told me he admires my courage to ’start’ businesses and that he’d love to do something himself. We kind of stopped talking for a while because I went out West for the rest of Winter [ I am a sucker for Tahoe] and he stayed in T’Ville.

A couple of weeks ago I saw this status update on his myspace account [ yeah, I love myspace ] and I asked him about it. He told me what he had been up to and I just had to do a little dance! Yes! I am THAT excited!

Go Hack! You’re killin’ it and I’ll be your personal cheerleader!

never a dull moment + m.o.s.

September 23rd, 2008 -

Last week my parents came to town. Yeah yeah, I know, they were just in town a couple of months ago… but this is the other set of parents. I happen to be such a lucky person who actually has TWO sets of parents. [divorce does that to kids] . Anyway. This time my dad and stepmother are here. IN MY HOUSE! All I want to say is that my love for dad has bee tested big time! I mean I am doing all I can to accommodate both in the best possible way… what can I say, I am just a wonderful daughter!

Ha!

Came Friday, I had tickets to go see Santi White [SantoGold] play @ the Fillmore in NYC and Trevor Andrew aka Trouble opened. Of course S. was coming with. I love her! She is just so much fun, never a dull moment! For some reason I didn’t care what I’d looked like / wore that night, I just wanted… no make that NEEDED a drink after putting up with the folks for two days. So drinks there were… quite a few.

Long story short:

The show was wicked. The drinks were good. I smoked way too many cigarettes. We ended up @ Santo’s Party House and I had a huge make out sesh [m.o.s.]. I went home and my face was kind of sore. I felt like a teenager and S. said that I looked ‘cute’ [aka stupid] ! Ha! She’s such a good friend hehe

It was a fun night. Should def. consider doing that more often.

SILICON ALLEY VOTING BOOT

cyber boyfriends and some fun sex facts

September 13th, 2008 -

Women who are tired of looking for the perfect guy are ordering up virtual boyfriends. Sites like sergioboyfriend.com [ version 3.3 ] allow them to interact with and be wooed by a cyber boyfriend.

The best sex  lasts 7-13 minutes, says a new study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine. Researchers – who surveyed sex therapists about people’s bedroom preferences also found that 2 minutes is too short, 3-7 minutes adequate, and 30 minutes too long.

This is some stuff to seriously think about… next time I will def. time how long my cyber boyfriend makes sweet virtual love with me..

*sigh* what is this world coming to?

got stood up….

I don’t believe that our relationship is very strong, I have noticed a distance, feel so disconnected.

update:

I guess I wasn’t the only one who was super bummed, I found this blog and I believe we should be friends haha!

updates and uh ahum… a commitment

September 9th, 2008 -

Well, it’s been like uh, more than a month since my last post. I have been busy. That is no excuse though, so from now on, I am going to aim for commit to writing at least 3 posts a week. I know… pretty ambitious hehe.

Ok, so nothing major has happened since my last post.

I did not get lucky, however, I did go on a date [or I am actually not quite sure if it can be called a date] with a guy I have known for quite some time. Don’t get too excited now… noting happened. So yeah… I am looking fwd to my ‘date’ with Urijah tomorrow. Date as in ’switching on the tv and watch him fight Mike Brown in Ft. Lauderdale’s HardRock’. I think I might wear my hot pink PJ’s for the occasion.

So I went to Tahoe… saw my friends. I love them and miss them when I am in NYC. I wish the wife would consider moving to Cali.

I passed out @ a Sushi Bar in Tahoe. I was hallucinating and thought I was @ the Spa, getting a nice body treatment and a facial. So I am laying on the floor in the middle of the restaurant, bra sticking out and stuff… not very ladylike at all, and I am just thinking how nice I feel @ “the Spa” [still out of it] and all of a sudden I hear: “is she OK?? Should we call an ambulance??” Well, I tell you, I ‘woke up/ snapped out of my SPA hallucination” real fast. I’m like no way dude! I am fine! Haha, all I could think was :

ambulance + hospital = lots of $$

f*ck that sh*t

[ I have been getting a bit of a potty mouth... been hanging out on too many boys dominated websites and with my male friends]

I wasn’t drunk at all. I mean pffff… I can handle my liquor! I used to live in Dublin for nearly 3 years. I only had 2 drinks during the day on the beach and 1.5 CUP of sake [you know the cups... they are tiny] during dinner. So no way that I was drunk. I got really offended when someone asked me that. They should know better!

I did get a bit tipsy @ Back to the Banks. I admit it. Not ashamed of it at all hahaha:

I have been working A LOT! Why can’t I just win the lottery?? Really?? When will it be my turn?? I have been voting republican for years because I know as soon when I hit it big, their tax ideals/ laws  will come in handy. [in case you were wondering if I am losing my mind: NO I was just being sarcastic because this seems to be the thing that a lot of people who live in less than good conditions seem to be thinking... they still vote republican, because they refuse to pay a bit more taxes 'ONCE THEY HIT IT BIG' , whenever that day might be. Ah well, at least they vote... BTW, I am a socialist... you know, I am Dutch.. hehe]

I have been asked to write an article about women and biking. I’ve nearly finished it. It’s been a bit harder than I thought it would be.

Last but not least…

I HAVEN’T PAID MY STORAGE UNIT in Miami for a couple of months!! I kind of ‘forgot it/ did it on purpose’ : I mean, I managed just fine to live without all the ‘memories’ of my ‘former’ life with the ex so I decided to let it go. The unit got auctioned off and I am sure that who ever bought my unit has been getting a good laugh out of it. It had a lot of pictures [ very x-rated ones... from my ex...not me ] , books, bathroom stuff, lots of shoes and bag, hospital bills, sad diary entries and a DISCO BALL!

I am sad about that disco ball!
